Get Free Publicity for Your Show
Submitted By: Web Publicity Date: March 24, 2009, 07:04:52 PM Views: 1155
Summary: Here's a few things you can do on todosquepaso.com to get free publicity for your show.

Want some free publicity?

I can do some publicity for you without too much effort on either of our parts. Sign in to http://www.todosquepaso.com/simplemachinesforum (validate email is all that is required - check your spam folder... sometimes it ends up there...) and...
...post your show dates on the calendar.

Include in the body of your post something about what will make your show special (who is the featured performer... is there something special about the set, or the costumes, or the choreography... gimme SOMETHIN' to work with... get me???).

From there I'll take your info and post it to all the relevant sites and submit to the area newspapers as show times approach.

At time of publication to newspapers I will need a couple of sample photos with blurbs about what's going on in the photos (who is in the picture, etc... again... something!).

I can also be of assistance with getting radio time (NH ONLY!!!) but that requires a few pairs of comp tickets (for the listeners) and someone else doing the leg work. Some radio stations will do live interviews (think AM radio... but what the heck... it's publicity!) - but again... that will be someone of your choosing to do that.

So to sum up:
Post your show dates on my site
Write a decent blurb - relevant to YOUR production of the show in the show posting, and include the legal required stuff per your contract.
Send photos (preferably with principal folks in costume) with blurb about photos at least 3 weeks prior to open

Respond with info as to whether you want to pursue radio time, and who will be doing the leg work (again NH ONLY!).

In an article this looks like a lot of work... but in reality good publicity... is a lot of work. : )
