What does this mean? If you're an accountant and have worked in accounting in an insurance company but are applying for a job in a manufacturing setting - focus on the common areas between the two occupations. If the manufacturer is looking for someone familiar with month end close, make sure that is the first thing you mention in the experience section on your resume and refer to it in your cover letter.
